Nyabugogo Bridge is now operational for both vehicles and pedestrians after a lengthy period of construction.

When construction works costs are estimated at Rwf2 billion, employing over four hundred people.

The Company which contracted the works estimated the works to include over twelve thousand sacks of cement, three hundred tons of iron bars, and other materials.

Though it’s now operational, the final touches aren’t over because the upper part of the road isn’t yet tarmacked.

The process of tarmacking the road can’t stop its usage because vehicles use one part of the road while the other is being tarmacked.

The usage of the road will minimise traffic jam which has been persistent for several months.

The construction works commenced in April 2022.
